Do not bind Hindu dharma in communal limits – Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi

Panchkula. RSS Sarkaryavah Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi said the Hindu thought is generous and universal. It would be a gross injustice to it to tie it to communal limits. Addressing a prominent citizens’ meeting in Panchkula Bhaiyyaji Joshi stressed on the preservation of the environment and social harmony. Lt Gen (retd) BS Jaswal Ji presided over the function while RSS Uttar kshetra Sanghchalak Prof. Bajrang Lal Gupt ji and Lt Gen ( Retd) KJ Singh were the special guests.
Sarkaryavah Ji said from ancient times Bharat has been identified with Hindu dharma and this dharma is nature loving and sees the divine element in all living beings. Taking references from Upanishads and Gita he said to discriminate human beings on the basis of their caste was against the ethos of ‘dharma”. He said casteism has done a big damage to the society, so we should rise above it and think of the welfare of the nation.
The Hindu religion follows the principle of “Ekam Sat Vipra Bahuda Vadanti”, which means that along with the freedom to express one’s viewpoint, there has been a tradition of respecting the viewpoint and feelings of others as well. Bharat is a Hindu nation and the Hindu society is responsible for its rise and decline. He said we have been worshippers of nature and we have seen divinity in it. That is why the dharma does not allow pollution of rivers. Giving an example of Kalpavriksha, he said, in fact, there was no tree by this name. But it finds a reference in our Puranas. For us, the entire plant kingdom is Kalpavriksha which is an integral part of our life. Similarly, the concept of Kamdhenu cow was to help us develop love for animals.
He said intolerance generates from the rigidity of thoughts and ideas. When a religion thinks that it is the superior-most and the rest are insignificant then the problem arises. The followers of Islam and Christianity have done the same. They always thought that whatever path they followed was the best and that generated intolerance.
He said Bharat should not be compared with China, US or Britain. Instead, Bharat should be left alone. He called upon people to safeguard regional languages. Howsoever number of languages one may learn, but the purity of Bharatiya languages must not be sullied. He also stressed the need for using “swadeshi” products to help promote the economy. Many countries are trying to make use of Bharat as a market. So, it is the responsibility of people of the nation to use indigenous products to lend strength to the economy.
