Food distribution By RSS/ UBSS in Cyclone affected Areas

Bhubaneswar 7/5  The cyclone Phani has  caused emennce damage to the eleven  coastal distrricts of Odisha such a Puri,Khurdha, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada and a part of Jajpur and others .The Swayamsevaks of the Samiti and  Rashtriya Swayamsevaks Sangha in  colaboration of Utkal Bipnna Sahaya Samiti (UBSS)reached the affected areas  and cleaned the roads for the passage of tranport of the releief materials to reach the affected sites.


The Rashtriya Swayasevak Sangha (RSS) / Utkal Bipnna Sahayata Samiti (UBSS)have distributed cocked food for three days to the people affected by cyclone “Fani” in Puri and Dandamukundapur, Puri . The cocked  food distribution started on 5th may 2019 from  Ghodabazar Saraswati Sishu Mandir, Puri as per the schedule indicated below. On 5th 1000 people were given food, on 6th 1200 and on 7th  some  1500 people were given cocked food by RSS. Similarly in Dadamukundapur, Puri RSS / UBSS have distributed  cocked food on 6th May to some 500 people and on 7th May cocked food was given to  some 700 people.


On 3rd of this month  more than four hundred people from near by slums were allowed to stay and were given coockd food both in the day time as well as in the night.
The Samiti  has taken up the spendendous task of providing  relief materials in seven zones  such as Ghodabazar Sishu Mndir, Puri, Saraswati sishu Mandir Brahamgiri, Dandamulukundapur, Chandapur, Nimapada and Unit -3 Saraswati Sishu Mandir of Bhubaneswar. Some more units are to come up in Jagatasinghpur and Cuttack for the distribiution of relief materials.  Till date the Samiti has provided /distributed more than 10 quintals of Chuda, five quintals of Gur, Polythin, Candles and matchbox and more than 10lakhs of  water bottles and much more are in the pipe line for distribution amongst the people in distress.
